ORAL MIDTERM AND ORAL FINAL EXAMS:  These exams are conducted one on one with the instructor during the regular class meeting time.  There will be anywhere from 2 to 3 opportunities for you to take each exam, but you are only required to sign up for one of the opportunities for each exam, the midterm oral and the final oral.  Your instructor will notify you as to when you can sign up for these exams.

CLASS ATTENDANCE AND PARTICIPATION POINTS can only be earned if you are in class and participating.  If you are absent from class or miss more than 30 minutes of class, you will not earn these points for that class session.  Exceptions to this policy will be made if the student can produce a valid Dr.’s note or some written verification from a medical Dr. regarding the absence, in which case the student will not earn or lose the points, but rather be exempt from them.

CLASS AND LAB ASSIGNMENTS are due on the date listed on the weekly course outline.  Any assignments of this nature turned in after the due will receive no more than half credit providing they are turned in no later than the class session following the one on which the assignment was due.  Assignments turned in later than this, will receive no credit.  Exceptions to this policy will be made if the student can produce a valid Dr.’s note or some written verification from a medical Dr., in which case the student will be given a new due date for the work by the instructor, usually within one week from the original due date of the assignment.

VOCAB QUIZZES…There are no make-ups for vocab quizzes without a valid Dr.’s note or some written verification from a medical Dr.

EXTRA CREDIT:  Will be available on the professor’s website after Test #1.  It is available to all students and must be turned in no later than the class last of the semester.  THIS IS A GOOD WAY TO MAKE UP ANY POINTS YOU LOSE DUE TO ABSENCES, LATE ASSIGNMENTS OR MISSED VOCAB QUIZZES.

ALL DR.’S NOTES OR WRITTEN VERIFICATION FROM A MEDICAL DR. MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE INSTRUCTOR NO LATER THAN ONE WEEK AFTER THE MISSED CLASS, ASSIGNMENT OR VOCAB QUIZ.  SUBMISSIONS BEYOND THAT PERIOD OF TIME ARE NOT ACCEPTED AND THE STUDENT WILL LOSE WHATEVER POINTS OR CREDIT WAS POSSIBLE.
